Our Messermeister Custom 6.5" Nakiri is a traditional Asian inspired blade, which has gained popularity for its thin blade and easy-to-use straight cutting edge. We have given the traditional shape a twist by incorporating a "Spanish point to improve the utility in the tip. The Nakiri is a great choice for blazing through mountains of vegetables. Our cambered handle design gives you maximum control and hand clearance, while the straight edge makes positive contact on the cutting board.

Nakiri 7" Classic Ikon
Wusthof USA, Inc.
The Japanese vegetable knife: extremely versatile and suitable for tasks such as cutting, dicing or chopping. Its shape is reminiscent of a cleaver but should not be confused with it as a Nakiri is not suitable for rough tasks (such as splitting bones). The very sharp and finely ground blade is more designed to prep vegetables, herbs and fruit very quickly and finely. The dimpled edge of the knife (slight depressions in the blade that allow small pockets of air to form) prevents ingredients from sticking.

Nakiri 7" Hollow Edge Classic
Wusthof USA, Inc.
WÜSTHOF'S best-selling collection for generations, CLASSIC full-tang knives are precision-forged from a single piece of an exclusive high-carbon stain-free steel. CLASSIC knives feature a new handle design made of a highly durable synthetic material -- Polyoxymethylene (POM) -- which has a tighter molecular structure to resist fading and discoloration.
The CLASSIC 7" Nakiri Knife is designed with a thinner blade than the traditional cleaver, at a 10° cutting edge, and features a long straight edge. The hollow edge contains evenly spaced vertical indentations that create small air pockets between the blade and the food. These small air pockets gently push food off the blade and reduce the friction and drag when slicing.
Product Highlights:
Precision-forged from a single blank of high carbon stain-free steel.
Hollow-edge that creates air pockets along the side of the blade that allows for food to easily fall away.
Full tang that is triple riveted to the handle for precise control.
Precision Edge Technology (PEtec) yields a blade that is 20% sharper with twice the edge retention.
Tempered to 58° Rockwell.
Full bolster and finger guard.
Comfortable and highly-durable polyoxymethylene (POM) handle with a traditional look and feel, stickered with the red Trident logo.
The blade can be easily controlled.
Forged from one piece of specially tempered high carbon steel to ensure outstanding strength.
Seamless hygienic fit of the handle.
Wide, thin blade.
The hollow edge creates pockets of air which prevent extra thin or soft slices from sticking to the blade.
